Yesterday, I went through my toys and photos, trying to come up with an idea for today's theme. Then, I came across this photo and realized, "That's it!" A sunny seal basking in the sunlight is quite symbolic! 🦭☀️

This photo was taken a few years ago when I was just starting out as an amigurumi designer. Somehow, I was inspired to crochet a yellow seal, and he turned out so bright and cheerful that he eventually became a family favorite. It's my biggest amigurumi toy so far.

Well, you won’t believe it! But exactly five years ago, on the Day 2 of AmiguruMay 2021, themed "In my project bag", I posted a photo with the pieces of the same project I’m working on right now (swipe to the 2nd photo). Moreover, that was my first participation in the challenge, and now it’s my second. And I have the same project on my hook both times, five years apart. Well, let's consider this a sign of consistency 😁

Five years ago in the spring, I came up with the idea of crocheting a few bright and funny fruit-themed birds 🐦🍉🍍 I made a list of fruits and berries for six different birdies, made samples of all the pieces, and even finished the Strawberry bird 🍓

And that's it - I got sidetracked by other projects, then came back to my birds after a while, and then put them off again. So five years went by 🍃

I don't know why I just can't seem to finish these birds, because I actually really like them 😍 Maybe it's the tails... I need to come up with six different tails! 😅 Or maybe it's the colors of the upper half of their bodies - I still don't know which to choose 🙃 But I decided this time I really should complete this project (otherwise there’s a risk you’ll see these little birds in progress again in one of the upcoming AmiguruMay years) 🤣

So, wish me luck - I hope this summer the colorful little birdies will finally take flight from my hands! 🙌🐦

Meanwhile, I have the big capybara ready and almost finished the pattern for it. This character was the beginning of the designing of the baby capybara and a bathtub. Hope to do a release of both patterns early next week, but first I need to do a big photo shoot for all these characters 😁

‼️🧶 PATTERN TESTERS NEEDED 🧶‼️

Hello friends! You may remember that I've been working on a capybara project. But in the process, I came up with the idea to also make a little baby capybara 🙈😅 And then I couldn't stop anymore and also came up with a bathtub for the baby capybara, and it's a separate bathtub, meaning the little capybara can be put in and out of the bathtub. That's what the blue strange piece I showed in my stories recently was for - it was a water piece 😁

So, let's go! 👇

I'm looking for 5 pattern testers who would like to test my Bathing Baby Capybara pattern.

Please note the following conditions:

🔸The pattern is in English (US terms)
🔸You may use any smooth yarn weight and color you want (I used a Sport weight yarn and a 1,5 mm hook)
🔸Materials you need: yarn, crochet hook, safety or another eyes, needle, thin black, pink and light brown thread, pins, scissors, stuffing material
🔸Testing should be done within 4-5 days (till Friday January 31) after receiving pdf file (but faster would be better, of course) 😅
🔸Give me your constructive feedback after testing - it's really important ☺️
🔸Show the photo of your finished toy on your page and tag me @planetpiuu (your account should be open)
