Here you find the description of crocheting of the little Boat and Sailboat toys.
You can use these tiny boats as toys, keychains, kids room decor, and even as a part of a mobile for the baby’s bed.
So, let’s begin!
Language: English (US terminology).
Skill level: easy.
MATERIALS AND TOOLS
Yarn: any smooth yarn of any structure, any thickness and color.
Used yarn: cotton/acrylic yarn 160m/50g (Sport weight yarn 4ply).
– 1,5 mm crochet hook
– tapestry needle
– embroidery needle
– stitch marker
– scissors
SIZE
Boat – 3×6 cm (1.2” х 2.4”), sailboat – 5×7 cm (2.0” х 2.8”)
* if using the indicated yarn.
ABBREVIATIONS (US terms)
MR – magic ring
rnd – round
st/lp – stitch/loop
ch – chain
sl st – slip stitch
sc – single crochet
inc – increase (2 sc in 1 stitch)
BLO – back loops only
fasten off invisibly – make the invisible fasten off (see the tutorial here)

How to make Invisible Fasten Off
PLEASE NOTE
Work in continuous rounds using a stitch marker at the beginning of the round unless otherwise specified. This pattern is meant for an easy skill level. Please make sure you already have the necessary crochet skills, as this pattern does not include crocheting lessons.

BOAT
In yarn color you like.
Rnd 1: start 6 sc in a magic ring [6]
Rnd 2: (1 sc, inc)*3 times [9]
Rnd 3: 1 sc, inc, (2 sc, inc)*2 times, 1 sc [12]
Rnd 4: (3 sc, inc)*3 times [15]
Rnd 5: 2 sc, inc, (4 sc, inc)*2 times, 2 sc [18]
Rnd 6: (5 sc, inc)*3 times [21]
Rnd 7: 3 sc, inc, (6 sc, inc)*2 times, 3 sc [24]
Rnd 8: (7 sc, inc)*3 times [27]

Change to second yarn color you like.

Fasten off invisibly (photo 4) – see the tutorial HERE – and weave in the yarn end.
Flatten the boat edges, giving them a pointed shape (photos 5-6).

Flatten the sailboat edges, giving them a pointed shape (photo 4).
Embroider the mast on the sail in a single stripe using contrasting yarn (photo 4).
