About the patterns

This SET of two diver doll patterns include the detailed description of crocheting, assembly and decoration of of two diver toys: a snorkel diver toy with a snorkel mask and a scuba diver toy with diving equipment, including a mask, a vest (BCD) with one or two air tanks, and an air hose with a mouthpiece.

Almost all of the equipment is removable. For example, you can remove the diving mask (from both divers) and diving vest and take the air tanks out of the vest. Only the air hose is sewn to the air tanks. There are also 3 options for attaching the mouthpiece: you can sew it to the diver’s mouth (non-removable), sew it to the mask (partially removable), or attach it to the mask with a button (fully removable).

This way, you’ll have a toy that offers plenty of opportunities to play and explore the magical world of snorkeling and scuba diving!

Size of the finished toys
the snorkel diver height with swim fins is 21 cm (8.3 inch), the scuba diver height with swim fins is 22 cm (8.7 inch), if using the indicated yarn.

All my patterns and tutorials are presented in PDF format. You can open and watch the documents on any device – a computer, tablet or a mobile phone. They are also available for printing. The patterns and tutorials contain many detailed step-by-step photos along with full written instructions of toy crocheting, assembling and decoration. Also they consist of photos of the finished toy from different sides.

What languages are your patterns in?

Now all my patterns are presented in ENGLISH (US terminology) language only. Hopefully in the future I will be able to translate my patterns into more languages.

Information about the language of each pattern is listed in the description of each item in my shops. Please be sure to check what language the pattern is available in before purchasing.

What is the skill level of the patterns and tutorials?

There are patterns of different levels in my shops. The most part of my patterns are of intermediate level so you should have basic crochet knowledge and some experience with crocheting the toys.

You should be familiar with (US terms):

– half double crochet
– double crochet
– treble (triple) crochet
– slip stitch
– increase
– decrease

It will be great if you have some crochet experience in work with toys, because some of the details are a little more complicated and you need your amigurumi crochet skills. The skill level is specified in the description of each item in my shops.

What materials do I need to crochet toys according to your patterns and tutorials?

The description of each item in my shops has a list of all materials and tools needed.

Most commonly used are:
• 160 m/50 g or 330 m/100 g cotton/acrylic yarn (Sport Weight Yarn 4ply);
• 1,5 mm hook.

But you can use any other type of yarn and the crochet hook size, because it depends on your individual crochet density and on your choice of the yarn and hook you like.

The technique of each crocheter is unique, so the finished toys can be a little different, each one is unique, even if they are made by one pattern. Perhaps you will use a different type of yarn, its different colors and textures.
